Delete Your Account

You can permanently delete your Alert Arc account and associated data from the mobile app. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.

Before you delete: You will be signed out and lose access to alerts, contacts, location sharing, and subscription benefits tied to this account. Contacts you added who are not on Alert Arc are unaffected; contacts who are Alert Arc users will no longer see your live location, but may still have your name as a static contact entry.

Delete on iPhone (iOS)

  1. Open the Alert Arc app and sign in if you are not already.
  2. Tap the Settings tab at the bottom of the screen (gear icon).
  3. Scroll to the bottom of the Settings screen, below the About section.
  4. Tap Delete Account (red text with a trash icon).
  5. In the confirmation dialog, read the message: "This will permanently delete your account and all your data. This cannot be undone."
  6. Tap Delete to confirm, or Cancel to keep your account.

When deletion succeeds, you are signed out automatically and returned to the sign-in screen. If you see an error, check your internet connection and try again, or contact us (see below).

Delete on Android

  1. Open the Alert Arc app and sign in if you are not already.
  2. Tap Settings in the bottom navigation bar (gear icon).
  3. Scroll to the bottom of the Settings screen, below the About section.
  4. Tap Delete Account (red text with a delete icon).
  5. In the confirmation dialog, read the message: "This will permanently delete your account and all your data. This cannot be undone."
  6. Tap Delete to confirm, or Cancel to keep your account.

When deletion succeeds, you are signed out automatically. If you see an error dialog, check your internet connection and try again, or contact us (see below).

What happens when you delete

Deleting your account from the app sends a secure request to our servers. We then remove or disconnect your data, including:

Other users who had you as a linked contact will keep your name as a static contact, but will no longer receive your live location.

For how long we retain information after deletion, see our Privacy Policy — Data retention. In most cases, personal information is deleted or irreversibly anonymised within 30 days.

App Store / Google Play subscriptions: Deleting your Alert Arc account does not cancel an active subscription billed through Apple or Google. To stop future charges, cancel the subscription in your Apple ID → Subscriptions settings (iOS) or Google Play → Payments & subscriptions (Android) before or after deleting your account.

Request deletion by email

If you cannot access the app, you may request account deletion by emailing dev@alertarc.io from the email address associated with your account. Include the subject line "Account deletion request". We may ask you to verify your identity before processing the request.
